Restorative Dentistry

For over three decades, Kansas City families have been coming to Gordon Dental for honest and compassionate restorative dentistry. In fact, our dentists work alongside you to co-diagnose and co-plan the therapy options necessary to keep your smile as healthy as possible.

Sometimes, that means we need to repair teeth that have been damaged by decay, wear, accidents, or loss. When that’s the case, we provide essential treatment options to choose from, including:

Dental Implants

You’ll be surprised at exactly how comfortable and convenient it can be to replace your missing teeth with dental implants. The use of 3D conebeam technology allows us to create computer guides so that each and every implant is placed with extreme precision. With the predictability of 3D imaging, our implant surgeries are more comfortable and reliable for your tooth replacement needs.

Regardless of how many teeth you need to replace, implants provide one of the most reliable, long-term methods of tooth replacement. In some situations, it may even be possible to install your permanent implant restoration the very same day without the need for a transitional appliance.

Implant Supported Dentures

Fixed denture options like All-on-Four and other implant supported dentures provide you with the option of having your denture secured into place without the need for adhesives or a direct suction with your gingival tissues. Implant dentures are also slimmer and more comfortable to wear than conventional dentures, as they take up far less space and follow the natural contour of your smile.

Custom Dental Crowns

Whether you need a full coverage crown or a three-quarter crown, our custom crown options are available to restore both function as well as aesthetics to your smile. They’re useful for areas where decay has compromised a significant portion of the tooth, or to replace old, fractured metal fillings that are beginning to break down. Depending on the location of your tooth and your personal preferences, we can work with high quality porcelain or precious metals to complement the tooth’s appearance and its chewing capabilities. Our facility also boasts an in-house CEREC machine, which enables us to create same day dental crowns, inlays, and onlays when appropriate.

Fixed Bridges

When you need to replace one or two teeth at one time, fixed bridges can be made to fit over healthy teeth or implants adjacent to the open space. Bridges are like three or four crowns fused side-by-side, so that you can keep biting and chewing in that area. A bridge also retains the spacing of your bite, so that neighboring teeth do not drift into the space and cause misalignment of your smile.

Composite Fillings

White composite fillings bond naturally with your tooth enamel so that they are as minimally-invasive as possible. Unlike amalgam (metal) fillings, composite restorations are less likely to cause cracked or fractured enamel. We color-match each restoration so that they blend in with the shade of that particular tooth. If you have old silver fillings that are beginning to leak or crack, replacing them relatively quickly can help you avoid more extensive treatment needs later on.

Gordon Dental in Kansas City offers flexible financing options for restorative dentistry so that you can keep your smile as healthy as possible. New patients are always welcome. Call us today to schedule!
